ABOUT
Carissa Rowe's journey as a vocalists and singer started as soon as she was talking as a little girl. Her mother said she sang before she could even talk. A big influence for her love for music came from her Lola (Filipino grandmother), who was always playing piano or singing around the house while taking care of her grandchildren. Carissa's Lola, who was also a choir director, would always have the family play or sing for guests.
Carissa continued to sing in church all through her childhood. If you asked what her favorite subject growing up, it would have been choir or music class. Even her favorite teacher was her music/choir director.
She pursued nursing but Carissa continued to sing on the worship team at her church. In 2020, she entered into a singing competition "Singers Like Us". She got runner up and it brought her passion for singing to a new level. Her dream of pursuing music became a priority. She started performing outside of church all throughout Charleston, SC until she moved to Houston.
Her purpose and dream for music is to bring people to a place of peace, to allow an escape for a brief moment from the chaos of this world. Music brings joy, therapy and healing.
She is also a devoted auntie to two littles and loves singing with them.
